Terms of Use — IndxQ SEO
Legal // Terms

Terms of Use

Plain English. What you agree to by using IndxQ, what we’re responsible for, and what we’re not. No surprise clauses.

Effective: 1 March 2026
Last updated: 14 March 2026
Governing law: England & Wales
The short version: Use the site for its intended purpose — reading SEO guides and requesting free audits. Don’t copy and republish our content. Don’t use our site to do anything illegal. Our content is informational, not professional advice — results depend on your site and circumstances. That covers 99% of it.
01

Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using indxq.com (the “Site”) in any way — including reading articles, submitting forms, or requesting a free audit — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms in full, you must stop using the Site immediately.

These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and IndxQ (“IndxQ”, “we”, “us”, “our”). They apply to all visitors, users, and anyone who accesses or uses the Site, regardless of whether you have created an account or submitted any information.

These Terms should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which governs how we collect and use your personal data, and our Cookie Policy, which explains how we use cookies. Together, these documents form the complete agreement between you and IndxQ for use of the Site.

Age requirement: You must be at least 16 years old to use this Site or submit any form. By using the Site you confirm you meet this requirement. If you are using the Site on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

02

Who We Are

IndxQ is a technical SEO publication and consultancy. We operate at indxq.com and produce in-depth guides on WordPress SEO, local SEO, affiliate site growth, technical audits, Core Web Vitals, and related subjects. We also offer free SEO and site speed audit services to site owners who request them via our contact forms.

IndxQ is registered in England and Wales. Our registered office and contact details are provided in Section 16. For data protection purposes, IndxQ is the data controller under UK GDPR — see our Privacy Policy for full details.

03

Prohibited Use

IndxQ is a public resource. We want you to be able to use it freely for its intended purpose. The table below summarises what is allowed, what requires permission, and what is prohibited outright.

04

Intellectual Property

All content on IndxQ — including but not limited to articles, guides, checklists, comparison data, original research, infographics, code examples, the site design, logo, and brand assets — is the exclusive intellectual property of IndxQ and is protected by copyright law, trademark law, and other applicable intellectual property rights.

The copyright in all original IndxQ content belongs to IndxQ. All rights are reserved. Nothing in these Terms grants you any licence to use, reproduce, adapt, distribute, or create derivative works from IndxQ’s content beyond the limited permissions described in Section 3.

Code snippets and technical examples published in our guides (such as wp-config.php settings, JSON-LD schema examples, and functions.php snippets) are made available for implementation on your own sites under an implied licence for that specific purpose. This does not extend to republication of the surrounding written content.

Third-party trademarks. Tool names, plugin names, and company names referenced in our guides (Ahrefs, Semrush, WordPress, Yoast, Rank Math, Google, etc.) are the property of their respective owners. Their mention on IndxQ does not imply any endorsement of IndxQ by those companies, or any affiliation beyond what is disclosed.

To request permission to reproduce, syndicate, or adapt any IndxQ content, email hello@indxq.com with details of the content, intended use, and your publication.

05

Content Accuracy &
Professional Advice

IndxQ publishes technical SEO guides based on research, testing, and professional experience. We update guides regularly and aim to keep all content accurate and current. However, SEO is a fast-moving field — Google’s algorithms, plugin functionality, and best practices change frequently.

⚠ Important disclaimer — please read
IndxQ content is provided for informational and educational purposes only. It does not constitute professional SEO advice, legal advice, financial advice, or any other form of professional advice.

While we strive for accuracy, we make no representations or warranties — express or implied — that the information on this Site is complete, current, free from errors, or suitable for your specific situation. SEO results depend on many factors outside our control, including your site’s history, niche, competition, technical implementation, and Google’s ongoing algorithm changes.

Implementing any recommendation from this Site is done entirely at your own risk. We strongly recommend testing changes on a staging environment before deploying to production, maintaining site backups before making technical changes, and consulting a professional SEO specialist before making significant strategic decisions.

Where we publish data from our own research or testing (such as “6-month study across 40 sites”), that data reflects our specific testing conditions and should be treated as indicative rather than universally predictive. Your results may differ materially based on your site’s characteristics.

Publication dates and “last updated” labels on guides reflect the date of the most recent editorial review, not necessarily a complete content overhaul. If you are relying on time-sensitive information (such as plugin version compatibility or algorithm behaviour), always verify against the most current primary sources.

07

Free Audit
Services

IndxQ offers free SEO audit services — including site speed audits, Google Business Profile audits, technical SEO reviews, and tool recommendation consultations — to site owners who request them via our contact forms. These services are offered at our sole discretion, subject to capacity.

  • Eligibility. Free audits are available to site owners and professionals managing sites on behalf of clients. Requests for competitor sites, or requests made with the intent to misuse the audit output, will be declined.
  • No service level guarantee. We aim to respond within 48 hours and deliver audits within a reasonable timeframe, but we make no binding commitment to response time, audit depth, or delivery date. Free services are provided on a best-efforts basis.
  • Not a professional engagement. A free audit delivered by IndxQ does not create a client–consultant relationship, retainer, or ongoing obligation on either party. Audits are informational outputs, not professional SEO engagements.
  • No liability for audit recommendations. Implementing recommendations from a free IndxQ audit is at your own risk. We are not liable for any outcome — positive or negative — resulting from changes made based on our audit output.
  • One audit per site. Free audits are limited to one per domain within a 12-month period. Repeated requests for the same site may be declined.
  • Right to decline. We reserve the right to decline any audit request without reason. We will not audit sites that contain illegal content, violate our values, or whose owners have previously misused our services.
No sales obligation. Receiving a free audit from IndxQ creates no obligation on you to purchase any service. We do not follow up free audits with unsolicited sales calls. If you wish to engage IndxQ for paid consulting beyond the free audit, that is a separate arrangement you can initiate by contacting us.

08

User Submissions

When you submit a contact form, audit request, or any other communication to IndxQ, you are providing us with information and granting us the right to use that information to deliver the service you requested. This section clarifies the terms around submitted content.

  • Accuracy of submissions. You warrant that all information you submit to IndxQ is accurate, complete, and not misleading. Submitting false information — including fake URLs, incorrect contact details, or misrepresenting ownership of a site — is a breach of these Terms.
  • Feedback and suggestions. If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about IndxQ or our content (e.g. via email or a contact form), you grant IndxQ a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use that feedback without compensation. We are not obligated to act on any feedback received.
  • No unsolicited confidential submissions. Do not submit proprietary, confidential, or sensitive business information to IndxQ through general contact forms unless we have a separate confidentiality agreement in place. IndxQ is not bound by confidentiality in respect of unsolicited submissions.
  • Comments and community. IndxQ does not currently operate a public comments section. If we introduce one in the future, separate community guidelines will apply.

09

Third-Party Links & Sites

IndxQ contains links to third-party websites, tools, plugins, and resources. These links are provided for your convenience and reference — they do not constitute an endorsement of the linked site, its content, its products, or its operator unless explicitly stated.

IndxQ has no control over the content, privacy practices, availability, or accuracy of third-party sites. When you leave IndxQ by clicking a link, you are subject to the terms and privacy policies of the destination site. IndxQ is not responsible for any harm, loss, or damage arising from your use of third-party sites accessed via links on this Site.

Links to tools with an affiliate relationship are disclosed as described in Section 6. The presence of an affiliate link does not change our liability position — we are not responsible for your experience with any linked merchant.

If you find a broken link, a link to a site that has changed ownership or quality significantly, or a link you believe is misleading, please let us know at hello@indxq.com.

10

Disclaimer of Warranties

⚠ Disclaimer — no warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, IndxQ provides this Site and all content, tools, guides, and services on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind — express, implied, or statutory.

We expressly disclaim all implied warranties, including but not limited to: implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty arising from course of dealing or course of performance.

We do not warrant that: (a) the Site will be available at all times or without interruption; (b) the Site will be free from errors, viruses, or harmful components; (c) the content will be accurate, complete, or current; (d) any particular SEO result, ranking improvement, or traffic outcome will be achieved by following our guidance.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties. In such jurisdictions, some of the above exclusions may not apply to you, and you may have additional rights that these Terms cannot override.

11

Limitation of Liability

⚠ Liability cap
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, IndxQ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages — including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of revenue, loss of traffic, loss of data, business interruption, or reputational damage — arising from or relating to your use of, or inability to use, this Site or any content or service provided on it.

This applies regardless of the legal theory under which a claim is made (contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise), and even if IndxQ has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

In the event that IndxQ is found liable to you under any theory, IndxQ’s total aggregate liability shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid to IndxQ in the 12 months preceding the claim (which, for free service users, is £0); or (b) £100.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes IndxQ’s liability for: death or personal injury caused by IndxQ’s negligence; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable UK consumer protection legislation.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability. In such jurisdictions, IndxQ’s liability will be limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

12

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless IndxQ, its directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgements, awards, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to:

  • Your violation of these Terms;
  • Your use of the Site in a manner not permitted by these Terms;
  • Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights or privacy rights;
  • Any content or information you submit to IndxQ that is false, misleading, or in breach of these Terms;
  • Your violation of any applicable law or regulation.

This indemnification obligation will survive termination of these Terms and your use of the Site.

13

Termination

IndxQ reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to restrict, suspend, or terminate your access to all or any part of the Site at any time, with or without notice, for any reason — including but not limited to breach of these Terms, abusive behaviour toward our team, misuse of our free services, or any activity we determine to be harmful to IndxQ or other users.

Upon termination of your access, all licences granted to you under these Terms will immediately cease. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will do so — including Sections 4 (Intellectual Property), 10 (Disclaimer of Warranties), 11 (Limitation of Liability), 12 (Indemnification), and 14 (Governing Law).

If you believe your access has been terminated in error, contact us at hello@indxq.com.

14

Governing Law &
Disputes

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

You and IndxQ agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or their subject matter or formation.

EU and EEA users: If you are a consumer resident in an EU or EEA member state, you may also have the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence under applicable EU consumer protection law. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Alternative dispute resolution. Before commencing any formal legal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us at hello@indxq.com to attempt to resolve the matter amicably. We will endeavour to respond within 10 working days and work in good faith toward a resolution.

15

Changes to
These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.

For material changes — such as changes to the limitation of liability, intellectual property rights, or the permitted use provisions — we will provide at least 30 days’ notice by displaying a prominent banner on the Site and, where applicable, notifying newsletter subscribers by email.

For minor or clarificatory changes (e.g. correcting a typo, clarifying an existing provision without changing its meaning), we may update the Terms without advance notice beyond the date change.

Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Site before the effective date of the changes. Previous versions of these Terms are available on request from hello@indxq.com.
